How we help

Care for Sutton Coldfield homes

Four areas we focus on in Sutton Coldfield, starting with hip and knee replacement.

1

Hip and knee replacement

Early, careful movement is what keeps a new joint from stiffening. We focus on bend, strength and walking, and on getting you comfortable in the places you live: the bed, the bath and the car.

First month’s aimA joint that moves further each week, and the confidence to get about independently.

2

Parkinson’s and stroke rehabilitation

We work on walking, balance and everyday movements in your own rooms, with cueing strategies for Parkinson’s and task practice after a stroke. Carers and family are shown how to support you.

First month’s aimMovements that feel more automatic, and safer ways to do the things you value.

Neuro-rehabilitation at home
3

Balance and gait

If you feel less steady than you used to, we test balance and strength and give you targeted exercises, as well as advice on footwear, walking aids and how your home is set up.

First month’s aimSteadier walking and more trust in your own legs.

How falls prevention works
4

Back pain

Acute or long-standing back pain can be tackled without leaving the house. We combine hands-on treatment with simple movement and strengthening, and look at how you sit, sleep and lift.

First month’s aimLess pain, and clearer sense of which movements help.

  4. Today

Sutton Park is one of the largest urban parks in Europe.

  5. 2028

The town plans to mark 500 years since the charter.
